The suspects have been identified as Vikrant r/o Vijay Vihar Delhi, Pradeep r/o Hansi, Hisar district, Rishal and Ajit r/o Bulandshahr (UP). ACP Cyber Abhimanyu Goyat told the press conference that the accused cheated people under the guise of installing mobile towers.
The accused allegedly post their fake advertisement on Google telling that if one gets a 5G mobile tower from Jio company installed on his land, he will get Rs 50,000 every month and with that a person will be awarded a contract for the maintenance of the tower. . Many people are seduced by seeing the advertisement and hearing about the job at the same time, they get the assurance that their job guarantee is confirmed, because as long as the mobile scaffold is up, they will get a job at home.
Faridabad’s person was cheated for 68 thousand
The accused defrauded a resident of Faridabad of Rs 68,000 under the pretext of several conversations with him. When the victim became aware of the fraud, he complained to the cyber police station. After this, an investigation was started in the case by filing a report under the headings of conspiracy and fraud at the police station. Ahead of investigating the case, the police arrested the suspect by raiding them in Delhi, Hansi and Bulandshahr areas. 03 mobile phones, 01 SIM card and 30,000 cash were recovered from the suspect’s possession. The suspects were brought before the court and taken into pre-trial detention.
Vikrant is the leader of the gang
Police interrogation revealed that the gang leader is the suspect Vikrant. The accused Rishal and Ajit provide them with counterfeit SIM cards and bank accounts. And the accused Pradeep runs their website. After the police arrest was completed, the suspects were brought to court and sent to prison.
