This car will get a new updated engine which will be available as two options 1.0 liter and 1.2 liter. Both engines will be updated as the new BS6 Phase-2. Although Maruti WagonR is known for its mileage, media reports claim that the mileage of this car will be even better than before. However, information on the exact figure will not be available until launch. The company will equip this engine with a five-speed manual transmission and an automatic gearbox.
Variants of the new Maruti Wagon R
The new Wagon R is offered in a total of four variants: LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI Plus. At the same time, the CNG variant will only be available in two variants LXI and VXI, which come with a 1.0-liter engine. Ideal start-stop system can be supplied as standard in this car, which will be available in all variants.

Apart from the engine update, there will be no major changes to the car. The appearance and design of this car will be similar to the current model. Features like a 7-inch touchscreen display, 4-speaker music system and audio controls on the steering wheel are available in this car. Apart from this, in terms of safety, this car is equipped with features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), rear parking sensor, Hill Hold Assist (only in automatic mode) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD).

The current model of the Maruti Wagon R is known for its excellent fuel efficiency. The 1.0 liter engine of this car gives a mileage of approximately 23 kilometers and the 1.2 liter engine variant gives a mileage of up to 24 kilometers per litre. On the other hand, regarding its CNG variant, the company claims that this car can achieve a mileage of up to 34.05 kilometers per kilogram (CNG).

And talking about the price, after the new update the company may increase its price a bit, the price of the current model ranges from Rs 5.53 lakh to Rs 7.41 lakh. And its competition can be seen with cars like Tata Punch.
